  • 8th Grade Event- CCR

8th graders: Every year, the Austin Spurs host a CCR (college and career readiness) game which is focused around the importance of further education and leading a healthy lifestyle. It is a fun yet educational event, where different local colleges/trade schools have tables throughout the concourse and every year they have a halftime speaker who shares the importance of furthering your education. This year they will be taking all of our 8th graders to this event. The cost is $5.00 per student. We will be needing parent volunteers to chaperone, as well. The game will be on Thursday February 9th, with tipoff at 11 a.m at the HEB Center in Cedar Park. Please do not send any money in, yet. More information will be coming as the date gets closer.
