“Beliefs shape visions, and visions drive missions. Visions are not accomplished; they are realized. Missions are sets of goals that must be accomplished for visions to be realized.”

"The business of schools is to design, create, and invent high-quality, intellectually demanding schoolwork that students find engaging."

      Dr. Phillip C. Schlechty

Mr. Dawson looks forward to collaborating to continue to create and grow a professional learning community at Tippit Middle School and enjoys learning alongside his teachers, staff, parents, and community. He firmly believes that learning is a lifetime adventure.

Mr. Dawson has been with the district since 2000. He served as principal at Annie Purl Elementary from 2004 to 2011 and assistant principal at Tippit Middle School from 2001 to 2004. He currently lives in Georgetown with his wife, Amy, and his two children (Hannah and Ty - who attend GISD schools).
