Mrs. Carroll

My name is Teresa Carroll and I am thrilled to be the Math Interventionist at Frost Elementary.  I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2000 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (elementary education).  I have taught grades 3-5, mostly math since that is a passion of mine.  I began my journey as a math interventionist in 2011 at Williams Elementary.  I love doing math intervention because I see students who struggle in math and I get the opportunity to show them that everyone can be good at math!

I teach Tier II and III math groups, consisting of about 6 students in grades K-5.  I work with them on foundational math concepts such as number sense, algebraic reasoning, and problem solving in an effort to help students who are struggling with math become successful.

I have two things that I am extremely passionate about with regards to my career:
1)  I love math!!  I think everyone can be successful at math and enjoy math, they just need the right person to present it in the right way.  I try to make math fun and engaging for students so they develop a comfort for math before they go to middle school.
2) All children can learn!  Not everyone learns in the same way or at the same speed, but everyone can learn.  My job is to make sure that happens and I love it :)
