  • Vote for Qui Raun

    – Qui-Raun Pressley, a third grade student at Georgetown ISD’s McCoy Elementary, is a national finalist in the 2016 Sodexo Future Chefs: Healthy Breakfast Challenge. Qui-Raun’s recipe, Bobcat Breakfast Tart, helped him earn one of only five national finalist positions. He is the only student from Texas remaining in this national competition. The five national finalists rose above more than 2,500 participating students, representing almost 1,300 Sodexo-served elementary schools in 28 states. The students’ recipes were reviewed by a panel of judges and were evaluated based on originality, presentation, ease of preparation, kid-friendliness, and healthiness of the recipe. The five finalists created a video of their healthy after-school snack creation and now the public can vote to determine the 2016 national winner. Voting is open from April 25–May 1. Beginning April 25, view the videos and cast your vote for Qui-Raun, please click the headline for link. Voting is limited to one vote per IP address per day.
