    PHYSICAL EDUCATION @ FROST ELEMENTARY

Our Goal is to incorporate the knowledge and resources needed to start and maintain a healthy active lifestyle into a student's life.  Our Physical Education classes are structured and planned. We will teach two week units, incorporating all the TEKS mandated by the state of Texas.  During Physical Education, students have the opportunity to express themselves through movement using several different types of instruction to accommodate different learning styles.  Physical Education is taught with a simple to complex progression.

Each semester our classes will learn about:
    • COOPERATIVE GAMES - SPATIAL AWARENESS
    • THROWING & CATCHING
    • BALL ROLLING
    • KICKING
    • STRIKING

I have been married for 32 years to Ralph Bowen, and I have three grown daughters - Kaci, Kari and Kate.  Kaci graduated from the University of Texas, is married to Matthew, and they have a baby boy (FIRST GRANDCHILD!!) named Milo.  Kari graduated from Texas State, and Kate graduated from Texas A&M.  All three went through Georgetown ISD and are all now in the working world.  Ralph and I are at home now with a border collie named Chizzy, and two crazy calico cats named Lola and Poppy.  This is my 20th year at Frost Elementary, my home away from home.  I absolutely love this school, and I love working in PE with all the children who attend school here.  I am looking forward to a FABULOUS year at FROST!
