Jessica Cardenas is the Principal’s Secretary of the Georgetown AlternativeProgram.Bachelors of Business Administration from the UT-BrownsvilleAssociates of Arts in Business Administration from the UT-BrownsvilleAssociates of Arts in Social Work from the UT-Brownsville.Mrs. Cardenas has a background in Student Information ManagementSystems at both Brownsville ISD and Austin ISD. She has also workedwith Universities, Emergency Rooms, Libraries and Human Resources. She has been workingwith GAP since October of 2013.She believes that every student deserves our best effort, intentions and support. SUSAN HOLMSTROMCounselorMondays, Tuesdays & Alternate FridaysMy name is Susan Holmstrom, School Counselor. I grew up in Walburg, Texas and graduated from Georgetown High School.
I attended Texas State University in San Marcos and received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees.
I started working for Georgetown ISD in 1977. I began working with Dr. JoAnn Ford and continued working with her until her retirement. I have been a counselor in the district for grades K - 12. I retired from Benold Middle School in 2012. I am very excited to be at the GAP as a part time counselor, along with my very special friend, Terri Boccella.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a husband along with two married sons. I have three awesome grandchildren Will, Leena and Jack.

I am a Social Worker with the title of Social Issues Coordinator. Being a Social Worker brings a slightly different dynamic to the job. I have lived in Georgetown for the past 30 years and grew up in San Antonio, Texas.
I began my career with GISD 25 years ago at Georgetown Junior High. I spent 3 years at Benold Middle School and was very fortunate to work with Susan Holmstrom. I have spent the last 15 years at Williams Elementary.
I am so thrilled to have 2 sons and daughter-in-laws and 5 grandchildren that live in the Austin area. They are the highlight of my life.

Sherry A. Stamp BSN, R.N., M.Ed
Mrs. Stamp earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh as well as a Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from Gannon University. In addition, Mrs. Stamp holds a School Nurse Certification from PDE.With Almost 30 years of Nursing experience Mrs. Stamp has a career focus in Public Health Nursing and has spent much of her career in vaious roles supporting population Health.Mrs. Stamp and her husband relocated to the Austin area in 2015 where she was employed by the Williamson County Cities Health District as the Director of Clinical Services before joining Georgetown ISD in August of 2016.

Behavior Coach - Danny Mendoza
Danny Mendoza is a Behavior Coach at the GeorgetownAlternative Program.Prior to Georgetown Independent School District, SGM Mendoza servedin the United States Army for 25 years and was an instructor at the UnitedStates Military Academy West Point where he served for four years andtrained over 300 cadets to be commissioned officers of the United StatesArmy. With the Army he traveled all over the world to places like Europe,Alaska, Iraq and Korea.Mr. Mendoza has been employed with GISD since 1999. During his yearsin GISD he hopes to influence students to make better choices.
Behavior Coach - Eddie Wright
Eddie Wright is a Behavior Coach at The Georgetown AlternativeProgram.He also has a background in Juvenile Procedures through an education inCriminal Justice at Central Texas College, Killeen Texas.Married with two children, he served in the United States Army and retiredin 1999.He is a member of the Harley Davidson Owners Group and enjoys travelingwith them. They also participate in activities that serve the community.Prior to GAP, he worked as a Drill Instructor at a Boot camp in Lockhart, Texas.This experience inspired him to continue to work with students and has beenemployed with GISD since 2001.
