Mrs. Danielle Organ

Hello and welcome to my webpage.  My name is Danielle Organ and I will be your child's first grade teacher this year.  I am very excited to be teaching at Dell Pickett Elementary School.  This is my tenth year teaching. This is my third year teaching at Georgetown ISD but have been teaching pre kindergarten, early childhood and early childhood special education for nine years. My previous experience was in Austin Independent School District.  I received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from California State University in 2001 and received my Texas teaching credential in 2008.  I am currently certified Generalist EC-6, ESL EC-12 and Special Education EC-12 grade. I have a passion for teaching young children and enjoy creating a learning environment in which all children can learn, grow and thrive while having FUN!

I am also a loving parent and wife and have three children of my own.  I have two boys named Brody and Braden (ages 9 and 10) and a little girl Brooklyn who will be four years old in November.  My husband of twelve years is also a teacher in Round Rock ISD and teaches 3rd grade.  We have lots of animals who are also part of our family.  We have a Daschund named Butch, a cat named Penny and seven chickens. We have two hamsters who will be joining our classroom this year.  Stay tuned for thier names as our class will vote on them!

I have extensive experience in alternative behavior interventions and differentiating classroom expectations to assist all children in acheiving their potential.  My classroom incorporates many research based strategies from sources such as Love and Logic, Concious Discipline and Capturing Kids Hearts.  Your child will be learning academic skills such a reading and literacy skills, math, science and social studies skills.  While learning these skills we will also be teaching empathy, problem solving skills and self regulation skills.  My classroom is a place where I want your child to feel comfortable, safe and most importantly loved.

I want you to feel that you are able to contact me at any time with any concerns, feedback or questions.  I have listed my classroom phone number and email address.  Please allow 24 hours to respond to phone calls and email.

Thank you for sharing your child with me!  I look forward to an exciting year as a Pioneer!
