What to Bring to the Orientation
You will need to bring the following items with you to the orientation:
1. A copy of your high school diploma, college transcript, OR teaching certificate.

Senate Bill 9, also known as the "Fingerprinting Bill", was signed into law by Governor Perry in the Fall of 2007. This bill requires that all substitutes undergo a national criminal history record information review by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Therefore, before you can be employed as a substitute in Georgetown ISD, you will be required to provide your fingerprints to be checked against the national criminal history database.
Note: You will be required to pay the fees associated with the fingerprinting process. The cost is from $51.00 to $53.00 depending on the method of payment. Additional details concerning the fingerprinting process will be provided when you attend orientation.
We appreciate your interest in becoming part of the Georgetown Independent School District Substitutes.
