  • What We Are Working On This Week.

    Beginner Orchestra students are continuing to review proper setup, correct posture, bow hold and left hand position.  Students will also be working on in their method books and will begin working on music for their next concert on May 10th.

     

    Chamber and Philharmonic students will be working on Daily Warm-ups, Two Octave Scales and Measures of Success (Method Book).  Students will also be working on in their method books and their music for UIL Concert and Sight Reading on April 17th.

     

    Beginner and Philharmonic students have weekly practice sheets that must be filled out and signed by parents to be turned in the following Monday. Students must log their practice time and what they practiced.  Students are required to practice a minimum of 2.5 hours a week outside of class.  Practice sheets must be signed by a parent or it will not be accepted, no acceptions.

     

    *Please remember to get all forms and money is as soon as possible.  Everything WAS due by Oct. 1st.  Click on the tab for Beginning of the Year Documents located on the left hand column of the website.*

     

    *All Orchestra Students are participating in a fund raiser for Orchestra starting Feb. 6th.  We will be selling Discount Cards for area businesses.  The cards are $20 and the money will be used to provide music for our new orchestra library and to work toward starting a Mariachi program at Tippit Middle School*
