• What We Are Working On This Week.

    Beginner Orchestra students are continuing to review proper setup, correct posture, bow hold and left hand position.  Students will review Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with variations and theme, French Folk Song and Hoedown for their Masqerade Concert.  


    Beginer Orchestra students will go on a fieldtrip this Thursday to Georgetown High School Performing Arts Center to rehearse for their Masquerade Concert with students form the other Middle Schools in Georgetown.  They will be gone from Tippit between 11:00 and 2:30.  They have been given permission slips which must be returned by Thursday morning in order for them to be able to go. 


    Chamber and Philharmonic students will be working on Daily Warm-ups, Two Octave Scales and Measures of Success (Method Book).  We are also working in a sight reading book on Mondays.  Students are also rehearsing Music for their Masquerade Concert.  


    Beginner and Philharmonic students have weekly practice sheets that must be filled out and signed by parents to be turned in the following Monday.  Students must log their practice time and what they practiced.  Students are required to practice a minimum of 2.5 hours a week outside of class.  Practice sheets must be signed by a parent or it will not be accepted, no acceptions.
