Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Joshua Stewart
My name is Joshua Stewart. Ever since I was in middle school, I have always wanted to be a teacher. This desire was influenced by the many educators that have inspired me over the years, including my father, Ronnie Stewart, who just so happens to also be an educator at GHS.
I have lived in the great state of Texas my whole life, and I was a student in the Florence Independent School District for most of my educational journey. I graduated from Florence High School in 2012. After high school, I attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Go Cru!), and received a B.S. in History and Political Science in May 2017.
I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to teach at GHS this year, and I hope, for many more years to come. GISD is a top-notch district that truly creates an atmosphere centered on the students, and I could not be more excited to be a part of the GISD family.
At GHS, I will be serving students as a Resource/Inclusion teacher in Social Studies. It is my hope to instill in all of my students that they are greatly valued and have so much potential for success. I look forward to getting to know my students and their families.
