Homework:

Students will be required to complete a few things outside of class each week.

"Article of the Week" or AOW. 4th and 7th period (Pre-AP) will have to complete one each week of the 9 weeks grading period. 5th/6th/8th periods must complete any 5 articles for the 9 weeks grading period. Articles will placed out on Monday ( or Tuesday if we are off on a Monday) and are due each Friday. Students may not wait until the last week of the grading period to complete all 5 (or 9) of the articles. The articles must be completed on a weekly basis. This is an entirely independent project. Students will not be given class time to work on these.

Students will also be expected to complete a book report each 9 weeks. They will be required to check out a fiction chapter book from the school library (or they can use a book they already own). Students will have a choice of assignments to present their book reports. Those assignments can be found in the room on the back bulleetin board. Book reports are due 2 weeks before the end of the grading periods. Due dates will be posted here soon.

Finally, students will be expected to compete all final copies of essays on their own time. They will be given one class day to draft and one to revise and edit. Students then will be given a due date of when their final copies are due. They may type them, or hand write them.

Other homework may be assigned on an as needed basis when a student doesn't finish their work in class.
