Mrs. Tina Kepner, M.Ed, LPC-S
Tina Kepner is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Tina is also a board-approved supervisor to LPC-Interns pursuing their LPC. Tina has worked with GISD in some capacity for the past 6 years.
Tina graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with an Interdisciplinary minor in Substance Abuse. Tina received her Master’s Degree from Texas Tech in Educational Psychology.
Tina has been married to Craig for 22 years. They have an 18 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. Tina and her family have lived in Georgetown for 15 years and feel truly blessed to live and raise their family here. Tina finds the most joy spending time with her family and watching her son and daughter plays sports. When not watching a sporting event, Tina enjoys running, gardening, being crafty, spending time on the beach and reading.
Tina has had the opportunity to work all aged clients however her passion is working with teenaged clients in High School. Tina believes in meeting the client where they are while serving and supporting them in a nonjudgmental and empathetic way. Tina believes in walking alongside her clients while they make their journey through life. Reminding and empowering them to create their own journey’s ending.
As the DGCI for the GHS feeder pattern I will:
Assist with program management, guidance, and direction to school counselors in the development and implementation of GISD Counseling & Guidance Comprehensive program
* Work closely with Director of Guidance and Wellness in the implementation, organization, and evaluation of Developmental Guidance Program, and act as a liaison between central office and campus staff
* Focus on supporting campus counselors, students & families through: creation & distribution of developmental guidance and other counseling initiatives, benevolence/social work, emergency shelter situations, interventions with outside resources/services, juvenile justice truancy cases, McKinney Vento cases.
