    Supplies you will need this year:
    Wide-ruled notebook paper
    Blue and black pens
    Hand-held personal pencil sharpener
    1 inch binder
    *Recommended:  3 x 5 index cards and highlighters

    1st Nine Weeks:  Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
    2nd Nine Weeks:  The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare (*Recommended:  your own personal copy of No Fear Shakespeare - Macbeth)
    3rd Nine Weeks: Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
    4th Nine Weeks: Animal Farm by George Orwell

    Daily Oral Language Skills - Test 2 - TBA *Reminder:  You can use ALL of your D.O.L. Warm Ups on the test if you have them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Extra Credit: All extra credit must be completed by the last Wednesday of each nine weeks. You must read the unabridged version of the book.  Extra credit tests replace your lowest TEST grade Students may take ONE extra credit test per nine weeks.  Almost all extra credit books can be found in our library.  Many are available as free downloads.  You will come in before or after school and take a 50-100 question objective test concerning one of the following novels:
    1984 by George Orwell
    Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
    The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
    Ethan Fromme by Edith Wharton
    A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway
    Hard Times by Charles Dickens

    Tutorials:  Before and after school tutorials are offered to all students.  ***NO TUTORIALS OR MAKE UPS AFTER SCHOOL ON FRIDAYS!!!!  In addition, I have after school duty EVERY Tuesday ALL YEAR, so I will be unavailable on Tuesdays.
