What will we study in Mrs. Smith's 6th grade Social Studies class?
In World Cultures & Geography class, students study people, places, and societies of the contemporary world. Societies selected for study are chosen from the following regions of the world: the Middle East, Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, East and South Asia, and Latin America. A variety of primary and ancillary materials support the learning of required content and skills. In Georgetown ISD, our textbook is: World Cultures & Geography, Richard G. Boehm, McGraw Hill, 2015.
