    About Mrs. Hise...

I am originally from Canada, but have lived in Texas for most of my life.  After graduating from Westwood High School in Austin, Texas, I earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Sul Ross State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  I have been teaching math for 15 years.  I have taught Algebra One, Geometry, Pre-AP Algebra Two, Pre-AP Precalculus, Topics in Mathematics, Independent Study in Mathematics, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC.  I serve as the G.H.S. Math Department Chair.  I coach the three U.I.L. Math events: mathematics, number sense, and calculator applications.  I am the Mu Alpha Theta, math national honor society sponsor.

I love Georgetown High School!  I love math, teaching, and all the young people I am privileged to work with!

I am married and have four children, and two step-children.  My hobbies are cooking, reading, playing cards, camping, and spending time with my family.

    Mission For The Class

I hope every one of my students will gain confidence in their problem solving skills, engage in new learning experiences, have a lot of fun doing math, and make strides in their goals as young adults.
