Mr. Michalik has been with Georgetown ISD since 1996, and has been the principal at Benold Middle School since the 2004-2005 school year. He has over 30 years of experience in education. Mr. Michalik was the assistant principal at Forbes Middle School from 2001-2004, and prior to that he taught seventh grade math at Tippit Middle School. His previous education experience also includes teaching math in Taylor for four years and serving as head basketball coach, 11 years in Granger serving as an elementary principal, teacher, and coach, and a math teaching position at Lyndon B. Johnson High School in Austin. Mr. Michalik graduated from Granger High School.
Mr. Michalik is married to Teri Michalik, a retired teacher. Their children, Daniel and Chelsey, both teach in GISD. He is also a proud grandfather of three grandchildren. His interests include hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
