Principal: Wes Vanicek

Mr. Vanicek Mr. Vanicek earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University.

Prior to entering administration, Mr. Vanicek taught Pre-AP Biology and Leadership at New Tech High @ Coppell in Coppell ISD.  He served as Assistant Director at New Tech High @ Coppell, as well as Assistant Principal of Coppell High School before joining Georgetown ISD.

Mr. Vanicek loves to spend time with his daughters, Katie and Emily, whether it be hunting, fishing, being outdoors, or tea parties and princesses.

Associate Principal: Jeff Roberton

Jeff Roberton Mr. Roberton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.  Before administration, Mr. Roberton enjoyed teaching Social Studies and coaching baseball and football.  Mr. Roberton has worked in Richardson ISD, Frisco ISD and now Georgetown ISD.  Mr. Roberton and his family feel blessed to be part of GISD and look forward to this upcoming school year.

Mr. Roberton is married to Laura and has two sons, Brett and Graham.  Mr. Roberton enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, reading, and watching his sons grow up.

Assistant Principal (A-G): Amanda Silkett

Amanda Silkett Mrs. Silkett earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies with a history/math emphasis, as well as a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University - Central Texas. Prior to Georgetown HS, Mrs. Silkett served special education students in Florence ISD and Salado ISD before serving in Killeen ISD as a Principal and Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Amanda Silkett is married to her husband of 25 years and has three grown children as well as a granddaughter.  Her favorite activities include reading, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughter and family.

Assistant Principal (H-O): Candice Michalek

Mrs. Michalek Mrs. Michalek earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Tyler.  This is her seventh year at Georgetown High School, as well as her 21st year in Education.  She has served as a Special Education and English teacher in Pflugerville ISD, Round Rock ISD, and Georgetown ISD.

Mrs. Michalek is married with a blended family of four children.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, gardening, and travelling.

Assistant Principal (P-Z): Ricardo Romero

Mr. Romero Mr. Romero earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, as well as a Master of Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. Before administration, Mr. Romero served in the United States Armed Forces for over 23 years as a U.S. Federal Agent before enjoying teaching Criminal Justice classes with the GHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program. Mr. Romero has worked with Killeen ISD and now Georgetown ISD.

Mr. Romero is married to his wife, Lupita, of 30 years and has three grown children as well as three grandchildren. His favorite activities include church functions, playing sports, fishing, and boating.    

Campus Support Coordinator/504: Laurie McIntyre

Ms. McIntyre Ms. McIntyre earned her Bachelor's degree in Special Education and her Master's degree in Educational Administration proudly from The University of Texas at Austin. 

Ms. McIntyre is in her 21st year as an educator. She has taught Elementary Special Education, 3rd & 4th grades in Austin ISD and Pflugerville ISD. Her administrative years have included serving as Elementary and Middle School Asst. Principal and Principal in GISD.  Her hobbies include writing, nature photography, her dogs, & sci-fi movies.
