• English IV

Class Description: In this class we will be reading British literature in chronological order from the Anglo-Saxon age through the twentieth century. We'll read some historical background for the pieces, and some selected literary masterpieces. Then, students will analyze the literature through class discussion and through writing. Students are expected to write clear and understandable compositions following accepted form and convention, then to proofread, to revise and to evaluate their own work and that of others. Vocabulary will mostly come from the units we're studying. Students will also write a research paper. Our goal is to lay the educational foundation required by the workplace, technical school, and/or the college/university.
