Principal Profile: Nancy Bottlinger

  • Bottlinger Nancy Bottlinger is the principal at Carver Elementary.  Mrs. Bottlinger holds a B.S. in Elementary Education, Spanish, & Bilingual Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master's in Education Administration from Texas State University.
    Mrs. Bottlinger was a classroom teacher for 21 years, an assistant principal for 5 years, and is currently the principal of Carver Elementary. Nancy has been in education for 31 years. She has taught in Georgetown, McKinney, Frisco, and Los Angeles, California. 
    Mrs. Bottlinger loves Georgetown. Her family moved here when she was in the seventh grade. She has two children.  Her daughter, Kimberly, works in San Francisco, California for Industrial Lights and Magic. Her son, Kyle, works in Austin, Texas as a financial advisor. Her other son, Garrett, works in Houston for Bank of America. She and her husband, Clark, enjoy camping, boating, and playing with their dogs, Riley, Bella, Max and Tucker.

     Mr. Costello is very excited to be joining the Carver leadership team as Assistant Principal this year. He started teaching in Newark, New Jersey where he taught social studies and reading intervention.  After relocating to the Central Texas area, he continued teaching at Canyon Vista Middle School in Round Rock ISD where he was a department chair, principal intern, and taught technology and journalism classes. For the past three years he was one of the assistant principals at Forbes Middle School in GISD. He earned a BA in English at Brigham Young University and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University.  

    Mr. Costello is married and has three sons. His oldest son, Owen, is a 1st grader at Carver. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family, reading, and woodworking.
