    My Education & Teaching Background
By way of introduction, my Bachelor of Art degrees are in Classical Literature, Philosophy and Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.  I was a pastor and served within the scope of private education for many years.  (As many already know, benefits in private schools leave much to be desired.)

Seven years ago, I decided it was time to pursue my passion for teaching on a full-time basis in the public schools arena.  I pursued and obtained an M.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix.  For a short period of time, I served as a substitute teacher in Leander I.S.D. and supplemented my income as a barista at Starbucks!  I soon began working at Forbes Middle School where I helped with Content Mastery, Inclusion, and SPED.  In October of 2012, I began working here at Benold Middle School as a full-time classroom teacher.

Over the past 20 years, I have enjoyed teaching students with many different needs (from gifted and talented to special needs) in many different settings.  I am certified in English Language Arts (4-12) and Spanish (K-12).
