    My Education & Teaching Background

This is my fifth year at Benold Middle School.  I have been in the education field since 2001 both as a paraprofessional and as a certified teacher.  I have taught elementary PE, middle school Special Education, Texas History, US History, and this is now my fourth year teaching 6th grade World Cultures.  This year will be my second year as the Benold Boys Soccer Coach.
I graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi with my Bachelors in 2007 in Kinesiology, I returned to graduate with my Masters in Educational Administration in 2010.  I hold 4 certifications: Physical Education, Special Education, Health, and 4-8 Generalist.
I have been married to my wife for 15 years and we have 4 wonderful children. My family and I moved here from Corpus Christi, TX in the Summer of 2013.  This year I will have four of my children in 3 different schools; Blake will be a freshman at GHS, Austin will be in the 8th grade at Benold, my daughter Emilie will be in the 5th grade, and Fayth is entering 3rd grade both attend Frost Elementary. We are very active with our children in both academic and athletic events.
Being part of the Benold/Georgetown family has been an uplifting experience for me.  The faculty and staff have been wonderful and I would like to pass that experience on to your incoming sixth grader.

•If a student is out it is their responsibility to get the make up work. One day for every day they are out to make-up work.
•I always post homework on my board and on days there is no homework that will be written there as well. I highly encourage assignment  notebooks to record assignments.
•Colored pencils are used throughout the year so having a box at home would be helpful.
