It's my pleasure to be serving as the third Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Instructor.  I proudly served 22 years and 9 Months in the United States Navy and "transitioned" from the Navy on December 31, 2012.  I am a "Military Brat", my father was enlisted in the United States Air Force for 23 years.  I joined the Navy shortly after graduating from Hillcrest High School in Sumter, SC.  I have been stationed on the following ships: USS TRUETT (FFT-1095) in Ingleside, TX, USS NICHOLSON (DD 982) in Charleston, SC, USS VINCENNES (CG-49) in Yokusaka, Japan, USS AUSTIN (LPD-4) in Norfolk, VA and USS MAHAN (DDG-72) in Norfolk, VA.  I was stationed at the following shore stations: Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, FL and Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes in Great Lakes, IL.  I enjoyed myself the most at RTC Great Lakes for 3.5 years as a Recruit Division Commander (RDC) where I yelled and screamed at recruits and eventually turning them into motivated, hard-charging Navy Sailors.  "Hooyah"!
I started working in Georgetown at Georgetown High School (GHS) on January 22, 2013.  The NJROTC program has successfully moved from GHS to East View High School this 2013 -2014 school year.  We are slowly but surely getting our facilities up and running and plan on having an OUTSTANDING school year.
I am currently teaching NS1's but very much involved with the success of all the Cadets in "Liberty Battalion." I will be the lead in all of the 7 teams that we have: Armed Drill, Unarmed Drill, Academics, Color Guard, Physical Fitness, Air Rifle and Orienteering.  I want to ensure that each Cadet that comes to practice, comes to practice with their "Game Faces" on ready to be successful.  We are definitely trying to do big things this year.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
I would like to say thank you for your support, and the support that you are giving to your Cadet while they take this step forward in NJROTC. Have a Great Navy Day.
