Friday, Jan. 30th in the cafeteria
from 7:00 - 7:45am. We had free donuts, fruit, coffee, juice, and milk before the

Valentine's Day Parties
We celebrated in the classrooms on Fri. Feb. 13th. It was one of our FMNV (Food of Mimimal Nutrional Value) Days so there
were goodies to share. Thank you to all of the room parents for
their help coordinating our special day for the classroom! |

Red
Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and
largest drug prevention campaign in the country.
Red Ribbon Week serves as a vehicle for communities and individuals
to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a
commitment to drug prevention and education and a personal
commitment to live drug free lives with the ultimate goal being the
creation of drug free America.
And, perhaps more importantly, Red Ribbon Week commemorates the
ultimate sacrifice made by DEA Special Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena,
who died at the hands of drug traffikers in Mexico while fighting
the battle against illegal drugs to keep our country and children
safe.
We all had a great time showing our
support for this important event! Thanks to everyone that
participated and to our wonderful coaches for coordinating
everything for us! |

Fall Cookout
We spent our
lunchtime eating hotdogs and hamburgers outside in the beautiful
weather. This year we were lucky enough to have a DJ playing some
great music. Thanks to J.C. Productions! Special thanks to all of
the volunteers that helped serve food and made out cookout a success.
The whole family
had a great time at lunch.

Holiday Shop
The Holiday Shop is an in-school holiday gift store that
features over 100 different items priced within a child's
budget--$0.10 to $21.00, with 75% of the gifts under $5.00. Your
child will find something there for everyone on their list: mom,
dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and special friends, even
pets.
The Holiday Shop is designed to be a safe,
child-centered environment where children can learn how to budget
and spend wisely, while they also experience "the gift of giving."
The kids have a really great time shopping for everyone on their
list. Many thanks to all the volunteers that make it possible every
year.
Due to lack of volunteers
we are unable to provide this event for the 08-09 school year.
Please think about helping us run this event next year. We can't do
it without you!!

Spring Sprint
Our annual Spring
Sprint took place last year in March. This event
encourages parents to join their child during their PE time for some
fun and exercise and is paired with the Spring Cookout so working
parents only miss a short amount if time from work. There will
be sweatshirts and T-shirts available for purchase. Look for a new
design this year and be a supporter of this wonderful event.

Mega
Party
At the end of a successful fundraising season
we like to throw a party!! In the past our Mega Party had
inflatable attractions, carnival games, snow cones, popcorn, hot
dogs and much
more.
Students that
sell 12 or more fundraising items receive a wristband that
entitles them to go on all of the attractions and play all of the
games for free. Those students are also allowed one snow cone
and one bag of popcorn free. Those without wristbands are able
to purchase tickets for all of the other festivities. We serve
hotdogs so no one has to stop for dinner before, or after,
joining us. Friends and siblings are welcome.
