NATIONAL FLAG OF COMOROS

LOCATION:

The French took control over all of Comoros in 1886 after owning only Mayotte in 1841. They may have come into control after signing a treaty, but it later became an independent country.

This colonization hurt them so they tried for independence. They finally won independence through election, or referendum. After this, they faced many problems such as how traditions were ignored, and how religious leaders were losing power.

They are now being hurt by exportation, land issues like erosion and volcanic eruptions, fishing, (natural: extinction) and diseases, such as malaria.
