The France was the European nation that colonized Djibouti. They did this through treaties. This happened between the years of 1843 and1886. The colonization hurt the people because of the wars it created in the government.
Djibouti Independence day is on June 27, 1977. Their independence happened through treaties. There were wars in the 1970’s that lasted for about twenty years. Today there are many problems like death before the age of one, people have to pay for education, and the economy depends on trade.
