NATIONAL FLAG OF  ZIMBABWE

LOCATION:

The European nation that conquered my country was the country of Great Britain. The country of Britain treated the indigenous peoples of my country very badly. They took away their land, and in return gave them the worst land, that had only small amounts of rain with poor soil. They could not make enough food to sustain themselves.

             Needless to say colonization hurt my country. Some of the problems were they had little to no political say in the government, many had the issue of starvation (because as mentioned earlier the white people got the best land) and healthcare went downhill.            In 1965 Zimbabwe declared independence from Britain, and a series of political parties were formed. In the 1990’s the economy took a downturn. Afterwards, my country faced a crazy land distribution program, lots of unemployment, droughts, and war in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Another problem is the AIDS epidemic, and many families have been affected by this.
