NATIONAL FLAG OF MADAGASCAR:

LOCATION:

The French colonized Madagascar in 1885. They took over. The French treated the indigenous people very badly as slaves. If you disobeyed the French would hurt you or kill you. The slavery was unreasonably harsh and cruel.

The colonization hurt the indigenous people. They were very angry because they made new roads and slavery. The French taxed the people like they could just step right on them.

The people won their independence in the 1960’s by a vote but of course the people won the election by a great win.
