Objective:
Students will learn about rules and procedures at Benold and in the Social Studies classroom. The World Cultures curriculum will be introduced.

We will continue to discuss the idea that "Geography is Destiny," and begin to create a chart that illustrates and describes common landforms. HOMEWORK: Journal response
“Give 2 examples of how the environment you live in affects the way you live. What is our phrase for this idea?”
Your answer should be written in complete sentences. Each example should be accompanied by an illustration in map colors no less than
1” x 1”.
We will continue to work on our landforms charts. no assignment
We will complete our landforms charts. HOMEWORK: Students will complete index/flash cards for 5 of the landforms on the chart. The blank side of the card should include the term and a picture. The side with lines should include the definition. Students will be told which terms they are responsible for, and should make only the 5 cards to which they've been assigned.
Students will participate in a study skills demonstration. We will begin basic geography instruction. no assignment
