     On Monday, January 28, each student will be assigned a specific country in Africa for our research project.  Each student will receive instructions for research, outlining the steps and strategies students need to use to successfully complete the project.

 Students will also be instructed to use note sheets, which will be given to students as needed. These note sheets  are to be filled out thoroughly so that students will have all the information needed to complete their bibliographies and record information.

    Students will spend Monday, January 29-Feb 1, and February 11-15, in the computer lab using links to internet sources as well as library books on a cart in the room. The links appear below, and students are welcome and encouraged to use them at home if they are able:

The final product for this project will be a web page, and web pages that meet criteria will be published on the internet. Students will complete the final product using the template. Finished work will be due no later than Friday February 15th. Students who need additional time for research or creating their pages need to request recess passes *before* the final due date. The project will be weighted as a test/project grade.  Points will be awarded as indicated on the project rubric.
