Checklist
Topics
-
You should
have significant space (four spaces) between the title of the card and when
you begin your writing.
-
Font color
should dominate the color of the page and/or in illustrations present.
-
Font style
should not be in all caps. Font should be mature for informational
information.
-
If more than
one card is used for topic, the theme should carry through from one card to
another. Different colors or ideas shouldn't change within the same
topic.
-
Be sure you
start a new card with an entire paragraph. Do not start a new card in
the middle of a sentence or the middle of a paragraph.
-
I have made
appealing color, font, and picture choices for each card and topic. There should
not be a LOT of flashy to distract nor should items move in too slowly.
This slows the presentation and can distract from the information.
-
All images
should be sighted if you borrow them from another web page. You
don't have to cite if you copied an image from Clip Art.
-
Do not
plagiarize. I have Summarized, paraphrased and organized information into my own
words.
-
Font size is
not to small nor too big.
Mechanics
-
I have
included a title card with my name.
-
I have used
color and approved pictures or boarders to decorate each.
-
I have checked
to make sure my card transitions are appropriately linked.
-
I have
included font and font color that is not difficult to read and reflects the
importance of my work.
-
I am sure that
my art work is appealing and does not distract from the importance of my
written work.
-
I am sure I
have used appropriate spacing between words and punctuation, and extra
spaces have been eliminated.
Organization
-
I have
indented each and every paragraph written using "tab" key spacing.
No bullets are used within my presentation.
-
There is a
logical beginning, middle, and end to my paper.
-
The main point
of my paper is clearly stated in the introduction and summed up in the
conclusion. (This may occur in each separate topic.)
-
Each paragraph
develops an idea related to my main topic.
-
Each paragraph
has a strong topic sentence.
-
All opinions
are supported with facts and examples.
Grammar
-
I have
indented all paragraphs.
-
I have used
capital letters to begin all sentences.
-
I have
correctly punctuated all sentences.
-
I have used
only complete sentences.
-
I have checked
the spelling.
-
I have checked
that all verbs agree with the subject.
-
I have kept
verb tenses consistent.
-
I have written
out any number below one hundred. This is true except for dates and
years.
-
I have written
dates using proper punctuation and spacing.
-
I have checked
for homophones. (ex: their, they're and there---hour, our)
Make sure you are
prepared to turn in all research note pages and that you have cited any and all
work that you gained information from and used in your presentation. All
work is your own, and information from your research can be verified with your
class approved note pages.
