Assignment

This is a research assignment.  You are responsible for researching given topics and creating a power point and bibliography page to cite your sources. 

You will also be required to read the novel, Out of the Dust, by Karen Hesse.

Bibliography page

You must cite correctly any and all sources used.  You may use a citation page, but it must be one linked from our Benold library http://www.georgetownisd.org/benold/HubaMB/ web page. You must use at least two informational book sources (altogether, not each topic) and two reference book (again altogether, not each) and any, or as many, of the web sites listed from the links page as you like.  No one is allowed to open search the web freely, so no search engines should be used.  All work on power point project is done in class from student's home folder (no jump drives or CD's may be used from home).

You will explore topics that are related to the 1930's using resources including the World Wide Web and reference materials.  This information will help you to develop an understanding of the events surrounding the 1930's.

The New Deal

You must provide information for the subjects above that explains, describes, or gives examples so that your understanding of each topic is clear.  Be careful NOT to plagiarize.  Restate information in your own words. Printed out resource material or work from outside the classroom must have my approval for use.

You must use two hard copy resources and the internet links to site information found for any (not each) of the topics selected.

Your final compilation of the information should be written in at least two paragraphs for each topic and power point card decorated attractively with picture, boarders, or colors from your found information and written in your words only.
