"All art should have a certain mystery and should make demands on the spectator. Giving a sculpture or a drawing too explicit a title takes away part of that mystery so that the spectator moves on to the next object, making no effort to ponder the meaning of what he has just seen.
Everyone thinks that he or she looks but they don't really, you know.

Welcome to my home page!  I am a 6-7-8 grade art teacher at
Benold Middle School in Georgetown, Texas

In our classroom, each student will recognize and realize that he/she does have artistic ability!  While this ability certainly varies in each individual, I believe it is important for each student to become aware of his/her talent.  We ALL have an innate instinct for art; it is simply awakening this instinct in each child which provides a challenge.  Most importantly, I would like to see EACH child develop at least an appreciation for art, and the opportunity to explore various fields of interest, if desired.
