Hispanic Heritage Month
An Elective Pathfinder

Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates individuals, past and present, who trace their ethnic roots to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Spain, or other Spanish speaking countries in Central and South America.

First, choose a person that you would like to know more about. Next. make a list of questions that address various times and events in a person's life, i.e. birth, death, place of origin, family history, education, important accomplishments, etc. Organize your facts into a story that allows others to share what you have learned. Last, create a concise biography summarizing the aspects of this individual's life that you believe are most note-worthy. You will not be able to include all you have discovered.

Students should refer to the outline and rubric to guide this project. Be sure to document the sources from which you have taken information.
