Student conference 3. Team conference, if appropriate 4. Parent conference on phone or at school 5. Referral Absences & Make-Up Policy1. It is important for each student to develop good work habits and do their own homework each day. Homework is intended as practice for the student . Doing homework is an important ingredient to becoming a successful math student. 2. All work due to absence is to be made up. The responsibility for requesting make-up work rests with the student. This means keeping assignment sheets up to date and being prepared for tests and quizzes. 3. Students have one day for every school day absent to make up the missed work, excluding the day of return. 4. A student who is absent on days of tests or quizzes and knows of the test will take the test on the day they return to class. 5. A student absent prior to the day of a test has the option of taking the test on the assigned day with the class or the next day following the test. 6. In the event a student will miss class due to a school function (sports activity, field trip, drama or musical activity, etc.) the student is treated as if they were not absent. Homework assignments are to be completed for the day missed and the day of return. Students are responsible for any quizzes or tests in the same manner. 7. Stay up to date. Attendance is the number one indicator of potential success in any class.
