During the first semester GT and pre-AP students will be required to do current events.  The students find a current science related article, write a summary of the article focusing on the science in the article and give a brief opinion of the article or ask any questions that might be raised, totaling at least 100 words.  There will be 3 current events due each 9 weeks, with each being worth 33 points.  The three grades will get added up for a test grade at the end of the 9 weeks.  Please read the handout for more information.

First 9 weeks:  9/10, 9/26, 10/15
Second 9 weeks: 10/30, 11/19, 12/12

During the second semester, students will be involved with the GT Performance project, while Pre-AP students will work on other projects the third and fourth nine weeks.  More information to come in January.
