Language Arts

          1.  Come to class prepared and on time

          2.  Raise your hand and receive permission before speaking

          3.  Keep up with your assignments in class and your homework

          4.  Always respect others – their feelings and their belongings

          5.  Only use kind words and gestures

          6.  Stay in your seat unless given permission to move around the classroom.

Procedures for Talking

1.  Raise your hand to get permission to talk unless the class is working in groups.

2.  In groups – only one person should talk at a time.

3.  Do not talk while teacher is talking or when someone else has permission to talk – instead listen.

4.  When the teacher is working with or talking to someone else wait patiently for your turn.

5.  If you have a question or comment that is OFF the subject wait until after class to bring it up.

6.  DO NOT make comments just to be funny or crude.
