Experience
Mr. Michalik has been with the district since 1996,
and began his first year as the principal at Benold
Middle School in the 2004-2005 school year. He has over
25 years of experience in education. Mr. Michalik was the assistant principal at Forbes Middle School
from 2001 - 2004, and prior to that he taught
seventh grade math at Tippit Middle School. His
previous education experience also includes teaching
math in Taylor for four years and serving as head
basketball coach, 11 years in Granger serving as an
elementary principal, teacher, and coach, and a math
teaching position at Lyndon B. Johnson High School in
Austin. Mr. Michalik graduated from Granger High
School.
Interests
Mr. Michalik is married to Teri Michalik, a
seventh-grade language arts teacher at Tippit Middle
School. They have a son, Daniel, and a daughter,
Chelsey. His interests include hunting and fishing, and
spending time with his children. |
