A BRIEF HISTORY OF MALAWI
The British colonized Malawi. They also did not protect the people of Malawi.
Colonization hurt the people because it brought malaria and many other diseases to Malawi. There was also slavery and the British had poor relations with the indigenous people.
Malawi declared their independence in July, 1964, because the Malawians revolted against colonial rule
After Malawi declared its independence the new ruler was very harsh and became a dictator
I think the country of Malawi would be very different if it was not colonized. I think they would still be a poor country, and would not have nearly as much industry as they do now because of colonization.
