A BRIEF HISTORY OF ZAMBIA
Zambia was colonized by Great Britain. The British treated the people of Zambia very harshly. Almost all the Native Africans were slaves to the Europeans. The Europeans made rules for the Native Africans that would keep them in line. They were like leashes. The slaves were treated like dogs.
In my thinking, this did hurt them and help at the same time. Some became slaves. Then it helped them because they got to meet Dr. Livingston. Dr. Livingston helped the slaves. You would not want to be a slave in this country. The colonization helped and hurt Zambia.
Zambia became independent in November, 1965.
Zambia has border problems today. Lots of people cross the border and they are not allowed. This doesn’t seem like a great place to go on a vacation.
