A BRIEF HISTORY OF ZAMBIA
The British had colonized this country. When the British came they took over and made the people that lived there their slaves. They made them work really hard in the fields.
In 1964 Northern Rhodesia became the independent Republic of Zambia was a one-party state. Zambia was troubled by frequent outbreaks of violence and this happened because of disputes within the country.
In November, 1965, the white population of Southern Rhodesia took away their independence from Zambia. After that they went into war with the people from south Rhodesia from 1975 until 1994, when they won their independence back.
