A BRIEF HISTORY OF SENEGAL
France took over in 1959.The French treated the natives very badly.
It hurt them because they were so free before they were taken over by France. They made many beautiful things like glassware, jewelry, cutlery, textiles, and weapons. They had slavery when France ruled.
On August 20, 1960, Senegal gained its independents from France.
Senghor was the dictator and they had an ok life after they gained their independence.
When you’re traveling to Senegal have, extreme caution! Check the weather and the traveling advisories before leaving for Senegal.
