A BRIEF HISTORY OF CÔTE D'IVOIRE
The French took over Côte d’Ivoire. The people that were already there they took as slaves.
France came to Côte d’Ivoire looking for ivory and slaves. They took them for slaves and they made them work nonstop.
One of the native people got into French union, and made them stop taking slaves. Then they got there independence.
Today oil tankers in Côte d’Ivoire make fumes are making their health bad and it is very toxic. People have started moving north because of all the problems.
