A BRIEF HISTORY OF SUDAN
Britain took over Sudan. The reason they took over Sudan was because they wanted to keep the French from expanding. This hurt the people who were Muslim. It hurt them because the English imposed Christianity on them.
Eventually after many years Great Britain decided to give Sudan its freedom back on January 1, 1956. After receiving independence, north and south Sudan opposed each other in a civil war.
Right now a problem in the Middle East is going on between the USA and terrorists, and it is affecting Sudan. If Sudan had not been colonized they might not have had as many issues and they might be more technologically advanced.
