A BRIEF HISTORY OF NIGER
Niger is a country in Africa. In 1854, France started wars to take over Niger.
The people of Niger were not helped much by their French rulers. The French did not provide much health care and education to the African people.
Politicians started to demand independence after World War II. Niger became independent in 1960 when France allowed them to do this. The people of Niger were given almost no help by their French rulers. Some of the people in Niger did not have enough money to feed their kids.
