A BRIEF HISTORY OF ALGERIA
The European nation that colonized my country was France.
The French did not treat the Algerians well at all. The French refused to give the Algerians equal rights, and they replaced the peasant-farmers land with commercial farms.
Algeria finally got their independence in 1962 after a bitter war.
