A BRIEF HISTORY OF ERITREA

            The Italians colonized Eritrea in 1889, they brought Italian settlers to grow oranges and olives for export. They built the capital of Asmara, some schools, and a railroad from Asmara to Massawa. They used the country again to attack Ethiopia.

                 Eritrea got its independence by voting in 1993.
