A BRIEF HISTORY OF BURUNDI
My country is Burundi. First Germany colonized Burundi in 1895 but when World War 1 broke out in 1914 Belgian seized Burundi from Germany and took control. They wanted their natural resources and created conflict between Tutsi and Hutu. They favored the Tutsi over the Hutu and that made the Hutu mad. Colonization hurt Burundi it created conflicts and took natural resources.
Prince Louis Rwagasore led a campaign based on unity between Hutu and Tutsi. Then finally gained independence in 1950
