Rain Holds Off:  Running Events Were a "Go"

Early afternoon Thunderstorms that attacked the Central Texas region fortunately stayed south of Georgetown and after some short heavy rain, the Benold Track and Field was saved.  Although Field events had to be cancelled due to mud, all Running Events went off without a hitch.

There were two spectacular performances and New School Records on the 8th Grade Team as Jacob Vick set his 2nd consecutive record in the 800M run.  Vick's time of 2:11.45 beat the record he had set just 3 weeks ago by nearly 4 seconds.  The 4x200M Relay Team of Lane Quiros, Adam Sandoval, Tory Dominguez, and Drew Willoughby also elapsed their previous record from the Cedar Park Meet by running a very good 1:43.97 time.
