7th Grade "A" vs. Canyon Ridge

In the latter game of the 7th grade double header the Benold Eagles A squad pulled out a 6-0 victory to pull their record to 1-1 for the season. In a formidable offensive display led by QB Wade Harris and RB Jordan Haas the Eagles systematically walked down the field. It also must be mentioned that the Eagle offensive line blew open massive holes in the Canyon Ridge defense. Jordan Haas accounted for 20 yards of total offensive on the drive and capped it off with a touchdown run from the 2yd line. For the next 8 minutes of the game Canyon Ridge had the ball but failed to score before the half time bell!

The second half can only be described as a defensive struggle. The Eagles where able to move the ball but couldn’t quite get the ball over the goal line. Canyon Ridge fought hard but struggled to move the ball in the second half against a hard hitting defense led by LB Jaice Lacaille with 5 tackles and FS/LB Jordan Haas with 4 tackles. To attest for strong defense that Benold puts on the field, 10 different players recorder tackles during the game.

Stat leaders for the game where as follow: Passing and catching: QB Wade Harris was 2 for 5 passing the ball for 22 yards, RB Jordan Haas had 1 reception for 10 yds, WR Kolton Hoehn had 1 reception for 12 yds. Rushing: Haas had 8 rushes for 70 yards,  RB Jacie Lacaille had 4 rushes for 20yds and RB Byron Jimmerson had 2 rushes for 16 yards. Tackles leaders: Jaice Lacaille – 5 tackles, Jordan Haas – 4 tackles and Felix Palacios – 3 tackles.
