Dear Benold Football Players and Parents,

 

            The Benold Middle School Athletic Department is beginning a fund raising project.  We will be selling insulated drinking mugs over the next two week period.    As you well know, our Varsity team made its first trip to the State Football Playoffs in several years and we are excited to exclusively offer this cup in recognition of their accomplishments. We have designed a mug that lists the roster and outstanding accomplishments of the Georgetown High School Football program for the 2008 season.  The mug will make a great gift as well as a precious keepsake for anyone who was involved with Georgetown Football over the years.  In addition to this mug, we will offer mugs from all the state universities and several professional teams as well.

 

            The proceeds from this endeavor will allow us to purchase new weight room equipment for the entire Benold school and not just a particular sport.  The money has been earmarked to pay for new racks and benches that will be delivered soon and put to use as soon as they arrive.

 

            This is a fun project and will be a real eye opener in the community.  The families who have players on the varsity can especially be potential purchasers as well as anyone who loves Georgetown Athletics.  I hope that your child will sell as many mugs as possible in order to make this a successful fundraising effort.  All of the mugs will sell for $12.00.  Once your child has sold at least 12, he will be allowed to keep the mug he has in his possession as his reward for his personal effort.  We are beginning this project today and will conclude taking orders on Monday January 26th.
